Fulham’s Return

Marco Silva’s Fulham side beat German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 at Craven Cottage thanks to a stunning freekick by Méxican international by Raúl Jiménez, which gave German keeper Kevin Trapp no chance after 35 minutes. An early injury to Ryan Sessegnon forced him from the field.

Welsh international Harry Wilson went close with the half time break approaching after Alex Iwobi slotted him in only for Trapp to advance quickly to smother Wilson’s effort. Just after the hour mark Josh king’s surging run into the box appeared to have been halted by foul means, but the referee waved play on. Five minutes later Algerian international Farès Chaibi struck the woodwork. Fulham’s Premier League campaign starts on the south coast against Brighton and Hove Albion on August 16^th.
