With the 35^th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) about to start, Cameroonian and African legend – a fellow member of the Goalkeepers Union as I played once for my school between the sticks, despite us losing 3-1 – outlines his predictions for the tournament. Well actually, he declined to give predictions beyond which teams he thought we should look out for.

Bell tackled the vexed issue in Africa of how Football Associations should be funded. If governments contribute financially, he points out that they will want an input in return. He favours looking for external sponsorship and seeking other forms of funding.
